The British racing team is among the teams that are connected to the ex-boss. The team executive mentioned he had checked the circumstances with team owner Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore Grand Prix. "It seems like Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," commented the CEO. "I can unequivocally confirm there are no intentions for the involvement of Christian in an management or financial position in the future." Other Teams Respond The US-based squad boss Ayao Komatsu stated that Horner had "reached out to" the American squad but added: "Things haven't advanced. The matter is closed." The French manufacturer managing director Steve Nielsen mentioned the team's executive adviser and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "old friends" with Horner. The team official added: "I don't know what they converse about. All I can confirm is there are no intentions for Christian to come to Alpine but that doesn't mean it won't happen." The historic British team boss James Vowles confirmed that Horner had not approached them. "We're quite satisfied with the setup we have and it's functioning," the team principal said. "There's no cause to modify it." Historical Information The former team principal is eligible to rejoin F1 by the mid-next season after completing a departure deal with the energy drink company on September 22nd. The veteran motorsport figure was let go as the team's leader after the British Grand Prix in July. Several informants at the racing team have revealed the financial arrangement was estimated at €60 million (52 million pounds).
